“We don’t simply drop a rock in the water and it sinks to the bottom. Rather, it creates concentric rings across the surface of the pond, touching everything it comes in contact with.”
I was having a video chat with a student the other day, whom I hadn’t spoken with in several months. With tears in her eyes she shared not simply how valuable Vocal Awareness is to her, but how I personally compel her to study the Work. It was me, Arthur Joseph, who moves her to be and do her best.
I said to her in response that one of the key principles in Vocal Awareness is to always be in service to the Work. Even when we claim our power-when we create a Persona Statement that is bold and courageous- identifying how we want to be known, it is still always about the contribution we are here to make -not only about us.
I am honored by her deeply moving statement. However, the point of my sharing this very personal experience is to acknowledge that through the Vocal Awareness Method and its principles, we can all develop the same ability.
One of the original axioms in Vocal Awareness from decades ago is:

In my last book Vocal Leadership… I state that we don’t simply drop a rock in the water and it sinks to the bottom. Rather, it creates concentric rings across the surface of the pond, touching everything it comes in contact with. We are energy. Our voice is vibration – energy. Vocal Awareness teaches you how to harness and focus your energy and claim your power. All in service to your calling—your Vision.
